KETAPANG consists of dried and crushed almond leaves (Terminalia catappa), which improve the quality of aquarium water.

KETAPANG adds natural tannins and humic acids and slightly lowers pH levels, creating the proper aquatic habitat for fish from soft, acidic waters.

Asian ornamental fish breeders use almond leaves to protect eggs by applying KETAPANG directly into the breeding tank or filter. Such a process significantly improves breeding success and survival rates.

In tanks with almond leaves, the likelihood of skin problems in fish is greatly reduced. Their resistance to diseases is also improved.

The substances released from almond leaves accelerate the regeneration of the epidermis, mucous coating, and fins, and reduce the risk of Saprolegnia infections. Therefore, KETAPANG is recommended after water changes, transportation, and during the acclimatization of fish to new conditions.

In breeding tanks, almond leaves protect eggs from fungus and improve hatching and survival rates. Almond leaves are especially recommended during water changes and when introducing fish to new environments to help create suitable environmental conditions and maintain biological balance.

Application of Tropical Ketapang:

Use one sachet per 150-200 litres of water. For larger tanks adjust the number of sachets accordingly. Change sachet/sachets after two weeks. Due to their chemical structure, sea almond leaves may initially cause cloudiness of water, which usually disappears in three days.
