The ideal solution for providing gentle full-spectrum + UV-B lighting for arboreal and climbing species that live in enclosures where plants/decor are pressed directly against the mesh, as well as for setups that do not use heavy planting.

The Shade Dweller Arboreal is suitable for arboreal reptiles such as crested geckos, gargoyle geckos, and many related species, as well as many amphibians, invertebrates, and juvenile snakes.

The ShadeDweller Arboreal™ T5 is ideal for species that fall within Ferguson Zones 1–2, depending on basking distance, climbing ability, and their need for lower UV energy at the surface.

For species kept in larger terrariums, or where vegetation/decor prevents open basking close to the lamp, a ShadeDweller 7% lamp would be a better choice. The same applies when using mesh (note that black mesh reduces light output slightly more than stainless steel). It is always best to check the actual UV energy with a Solarmeter 6.5 UV Index meter.
