The natural choice for controlling algae in the lake. When AlgiStraw decomposes in the pond, natural chemicals and microorganisms are produced, which inhibit the growth of algae.

Research has shown that blanketweed is primarily controlled with AlgiStraw, however suspended and growth of algae is also inhibited and can also reduce it; the multiple holes in the bag allow water and oxygen to flow freely through it. 

That guarantee excellent biological and chemical activity AlgiStraw takes 2-4 weeks to act depending on the water temperature. Once it has become active it will work for a period of up to three months, after which point the layer must be removed. For continued protection add an additional layer about a month before removing the first carpet.
